CLOSING THE GENDER GAP

Girls Who Code was founded with a single mission: to close the gender gap in technology by offering opportunities for students and Alumni to deepen their computer science skills, they deepen their confidence. Their programs create clear pathways for alumni from middle and high school into the workforce. They have built a supportive sisterhood of peers and role models to help students and alumni succeed.

The central belief of the Girls Who Code Educational Philosophy is that all girls are capable of becoming computer scientists. They believe that all girls are creative and able to make a positive impact on the world through computer science. All girls of varying passions and interests also have the ability to be passionate about and interested in computer science. And they believe that graduates of their educational programs will go on to deepen their CS learning and will eventually enter the tech workforce, closing the gender gap, transforming the tech industry, and redefining the common notion of “computer scientist”.

Girls Who Code’s main priorities for hiring Nonprofit Megaphone were to increase website engagement and promote events and are now four-year clients! NPM is excited to see the results and empower such a fantastic organization. Currently, they are receiving over 39,000 impressions per month with a click-through-rate of 14.06%, well above Google’s requirement of 5%. They also see more than 5,000 new visitors to their website each month as a result of their Google Ads. NPM is excited about the next four years working with Girls Who Code!
